Hi Everyone!!
Happy Wednesday loves! I’ve been doing even more refreshing around the bungalow, and I’m here to share it with you today as part of the Blogger Stylin Home Tours hosted by Lindsay over at The White Buffalo Styling Co. We are now on day three of tours and the past couple days have been packed with gorgeous homes all spiffed up for Spring.
If you are popping over from Avery Street Design, Hi there! And welcome to my little bungalow. My family and I recently made the crazy decision to trade in our larger, builder basic home for downsized living in a 1940s cottage bungalow fixer upper. We are in the beginning stages of our downsizing journey, so our home is in constant project/reno mode, but as this is our first Spring in our new old home I wanted to usher in the season with a few simple refreshed spaces.
If you’ve been with me for a while you already know I have a thing for plants, color, and pattern (among other things). I love incorporating all of these elements into my interior spaces and they are essential to my happiness in our home. This past week my sweet next door neighbor recently gifted me a violet plant and it was just the inspiration I needed to bring in more greenery throughout our home.
I used them in the entryway and slightly changed things up from since our recent entryway refresh.
In the living room I spruced up the mantle by displaying my vintage glass bottle collection, and transitioning the fireplace from cold weather ready, to warm weather ready. In the spring I like to ditch the screen and fill it with candles. It provides the perfect glow when entertaining and it allows me to get a full 12 months of function out of my fireplace as well.
I also brought in a few more plants and some art
In the dining room a ginger jar filled with greens keeps the space feeling fresh while it undergoes a makeover. I love using flowers from the neighborhood gardens, but at the moment nothing is in bloom, so greens it is.
Our master bedroom is the most neutral room in our house and as a color lover, this means I like to pack on as much color and pattern into this space as possible. I brought in a floral pillow, some fun colored baskets, and reupholstered some stools in a citrusy shade to amp up the color in this space a bit.
Thank you all so much for stopping by. The home tours continue over at Sarah’s house, and I know you wont want to miss it. She’s a rock star at styling and creating beauty throughout her home. If you haven’t done so, make sure you check out the other tours from today,
Thank you so much Lindsay for including me. Until next time loves….
