Hi Everyone!
Happy humpday friends! We are officially halfway through the week and well on our way to the long holiday weekend! I plan on spending most of this weekend lounging in our newly refreshed side porch.
Many of you have seen me share this space on IG, and have read all about the makeover over on the Home Depot Apron blog, but with my sudden travels happening right after the space was completed, I haven’t shared it here on the blog yet. When Home Depot invited me to participate in the Patio Style Challenge Redux I was super excited. The idea behind the Redux series is to revisit a space already created by Style Challenge alumni. My excitement quickly turned into panic because my original space was created at the last house prior to our move to the bungalow, which meant I had the task of creating a whole new space!
My inspiration for the makeover were Moroccan riads. I absolutely love the beautiful colors, textures, and patterns of them and wanted to create that look in our space. While the inside of our little bungalow may be small, we are really lucky to have wonderful exterior space here. One of the things I love most about our house is the fact that we have a legit porch. I really wanted to capitalize on the square footage by creating a space that could serve as an extension of our indoor living area, so while I kept the fact that it is an outdoor room in mind, I went about the design of it just as I would an indoor room. I wanted it full of color, pattern, texture, plants, furniture finds, and a dash of the unexpected.
I absolutely love how it turned out. I cant wait to add even more to it over time. I enjoy spending as much time in it as possible, and with the summer approaching, I’m sure ill pretty much live out here.
Head over to the Home Depot Blog to see the complete makeover and lots more pictures. Thank you so much to everyone who’s left a comment on social media already. You all are so amazing. Until next time friends….

Gah. I love this space SO MUCH. I want to hang out with you and sip ice teas in the sunshine!! Hell, forget the ice tea, I’m thinking MOJITOS.
Also I’m so jealous of the fact you have a porch!! We have a deck but it’s all open to the elements and with the weather here, I can’t *really* treat it like an indoor room because it would get washed away in days. Sigh.
Love this, you did SUCH an amazing job. xxx
