Happy Friday!! The weekend is here (finally) and I hope you all have a a wonderful, hopefully project filled Saturday and Sunday. If you’re taking a break from projects for a while, I hope you enjoy your free time.
Here at casa de Gardner we are all about color (obviously). Not just subtle color, but bright, bold, saturated hues that span the full spectrum of the rainbow. I seem to go through phases where I’m completely obsessed with a specific shade or pairing of shades together quite often. My current obsessions: Coral & Aqua.
I’m not sure if its the fact that spring is around the corner or what, but coral is officially my color of the upcoming spring and summer season. I adore it. My wardrobe is chock full of the happy hue and even my fav lipstick is coral. I think its a color that looks amazing on such a range of skin tones and I especially love it against my own chocolate skin. Coral is absolutely HUGE right now in fashion. With the influx of 80’s inspired pieces and the on-trend color blocking craze, Ive literally seen it everywhere.
The sweet orangey/red/pinky tone pairs well with pretty much any neutral and instantly brings life to whatever it accompanies. I’m currently loving it paired with aqua in home design. Whether it be a cute pair of coral pumps to spice up and outfit, or coral accessories to give a room an instant pick me up, I just can’t get enough. As a matter of fact Naomi and I have chosen coral as the new color for the powder room. I’ll likely pair it with lemony yellow, aqua and chartreuse accessories.
