I have a confession to make. I’ve been hoarding furniture. Its a bit of an obsession and I make no attempt to justify it. I’m thinking it has to do with my tendency to try to save things. Ive always been a sucker for the underdog and that definitely comes out when I’m trolling craigslist or thrift stores and stumble upon a diamond in the rough. I promise it’s like the pieces look at me with puppy dog eyes from behind the glass front of a pet store and I just have to bring it home!!
The only problem with that is I always buy something else before I restore the last thing I bought. Its a recipe for disaster, I tell ya! Especially since Naomi cant stand for things to collect and take up space. Sorry sweetie! The good news is I finally finished one project. Enter the thrift store dresser I found a couple months ago for $50.
I loved that it was a big, solid piece. After a few coats of white paint it looks good as new.
Now the gallery wall space near the front door finally has piece big enough not to feel dwarfed in it. For the time being I just cleaned up the brass pulls and reused them. I will probably change them out in the future, but for now they work.
One revamp down, plenty more to go. Have you done any revamping lately? Until next time….

I am so jealous of that piece! I have been stalking one at the Salvation Army that seems to be waiting on me to buy it but I have absolutely no where for it to go! Great job!!!

The very next time you see it, buy it!!! You just never know how u might use it. You could use it as a vanity in a bathroom remodel. Or use it as a kitchen island, or you could refurbish it and gift it to a friend or family member…
