Hi Everyone!
I’m starting the year out diving head first into my goal of trying harder to live with intention. As with most of you, I absolutely love design. While its amazing to open the latest shelter magazine and see beautifully styled spaces, that doesn’t always translate very easily into how we actually live in our spaces.
Our home is a constant work in progress and I’ve been enjoying the slow and steady process of transforming it into a comfortable, creative space my family and friends will enjoy spending time in. Along with that Ive really adopted the practice of designing with intention…making design choices based on the ideal of thinking about both the aesthetic and function of pieces that go into my spaces.
Over the weekend I did a little rearranging…..again. Hey, don’t judge! We desperately needed a different storage solution for our tv. The previous set up was driving me bananas….B-A-N-A-N-A-S , (sorry had a brief Gwen Stafani moment there)….I digress. Between the lack of adequate storage and all the visible cords it was a hot mess. Here’s what it looked like before:
I think we have a winner. Its the perfect size, scale, and fit. Plus it packs a mean punch in terms of storage. Above all else, we aren’t staring at cords anymore. Now I just have to find the perfect art for the wall above and I can finally call this particular area of the house done. I may just have to go shopping for some from another area in the house.
So have you played switcheroo with any pieces in your home lately? Until next time….
