Hi Everyone!
OMG!! One more day and I’ll be on a plane headed to FL for a week! My little sister just had a baby boy and aunties Shavonda and Naomi cant wait to smother him in love! Oh, and the kids are pretty psyched to be spending spring break becoming besties with the gang over at Disney. Its going to be a great time.
Speaking of a great time, I’m here with some more treasure hunting shenanigans. Woohoo!
So this past weekend Katrina and I got together again for brunch. We met up at at local restaurant for crepes and some good conversation. She brought her little man, Avery, along and he is stinkin a-dor-a-bul!
I don’t know about your neck of the woods but spring has arrived here in Sacramento. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and we took advantage of it. We decided to take a stroll through a small section of midtown and popped into GW along the way. This guy was begging to come home with me
but I had to pass on the shiny 3 ft tall lamp of of a kid in one shoe waiting to drink water out of a vase while standing on a stump? I did think this emerald and brass Japanese inspired serving set was kinda neat
I thought it could make a cool planter, but ultimately decided to pass on it. I also walked around with a white ceramic tea pot for a bout 20 minutes but didn’t move on that either. While I liked a few things nothing really grabbed me so I walked out empty handed. Katrina scored some really awesome jewelry and a few books.
After leaving GW we continued our stroll and stopped in a really fun little mid century modern furniture boutique. Great store. High price tags. I noticed this light fixture as we walked in.

I have that same Japanese sever at my consignment store , but it’s on a wooden lazy suzan. It’s amazing and I love the color.

Glad you and Katrina had a nice day together. It would be so fun if we could all meet up one day. I love your light fixture, can’t wait to see what you do with it.

Hey lady! I would LOVE if we could do that. I soooo wanted to go to Haven this year but those tickets sold out hella quick. You were on my list of must visit folks while I was gonna be out there. If you ever end up on our side of the country you’ve got a place to stay! You even have two beds to choose from;)

Oh, how I love thrifting! Great GW find. Are you going to paint it? xo Kristin
Shavonda says
Hey Kristin! Isn’t thrifting awesome. Yes, I do have plans to paint it. Not quite sure what color yet, though it’ll depend on how the room comes together. I may keep this one pretty neutral, though?
