Hi Everyone!
Happy Monday! For those of you who are part of my Instafam this will not come as a surprise to you, but last Thursday I went under the knife and had to have an emergency appendectomy. I was experiencing some serious stomach pains that were persistent and increasing in severity, no matter what I did to try to relieve it. It was a whirlwind experience and I still cant believe I just endured surgery.
Im a very healthy person and have never had any major ilnessess or surgeries in the past so it was a scary experience for me. Im just really glad I listened to my body, and didnt wait to go to the hospital. Thankfully the doctors were able to catch it before it ruptured. They performed the procedure laparoscopically, so it wasnt as invasive as the traditional appendix removal surgery.
I’m home now and recovering well, although I must admit I feel like I’ve been hit by 10 buses!! Everything is swollen and tender, but everyday it gets better. I hope to be up and at em again really soon. I want to take this time to say thank you to every one of you who have said a prayer, sent a comforting message, left a comment, or just kept me in your thoughts. I appreciate you all so very much.

As you can imagine, Ive had a few days of idle time. Idle time in my world usually leads to the planning of another project! With the extended list of projects we still have to tackle around here, it didnt take long for me to find one to totally obesses about. Well, in this case Ive latched onto two projects: the laundry room and the hallway/built in storage area. Im super excited to get started on them. They won’t be major, knockdownwallsandshit type makeovers, but they will be major visual improvements.
Here’s the hallway/built ins
This space is still rockin the original tan color of the previous homeowners on the walls so that will change. I also really want to do something with those built ins. Im thinking a new color, glass doors, and a mirrored backsplash. Maybe ill even throw in a patterned or stenciled interior on the cabinets. Hmmm
And heres the laundry room
