Hi Everyone!
Ok guys. Things just got real. Today I’m officially IN my 30’s! Its my 31st birthday and I’m beyond excited. Am I the only who thinks their birthday is a freakin national holiday? Ok, so maybe its just me then…..
Yes, I am THAT person who really and truly loves celebrating their birthday. Its right up there with Thanksgiving and Christmas for me. Life is hard, unpredictable, and you just never know. Every year I get to spend on this Earth is truly a blessing to me and its something to be celebrated (in my opinion)
Speaking of celebrating. I’m super excited about this:
Remember the dining room table I scored on Craigslist for $20?
Its rockin a new color and its making me incredibly happy.
It came out so much better than I actually thought it would. This was a big project for me. It was the first time I ever tried to makeover a table. And not just any table….THE table. It took a bit of patience and restraint for me not to jump the gun on letting it fully cure, but it was totally worth it in the end.
I wasn’t sure if I should make a detailed how-to post. Is that something you guys would like to see? I know there are other how-to posts out there by other bloggers. I just don’t want to sound redundant. I’m more than happy to tell you how I did it if that’s something you guys would like.
Now we just have to figure out what color we want to go with on the chairs?

I’ve got to know where you got those chairs 🙂 My mom has two very old ones of that same style (one was her dad’s and the other was his brother’s). I want a few for my home but she wouldn’t dare let me have hers. Would love if I can score some of my own!

I’m in LOVE! Excellent job on the table (and your patience!). Pleeeeaaase don’t paint the chairs! They really warm up the navy walls and are a great contrast with the table!
PS – HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Hey chic! Thank you! and Thanks so much for stopping by. I promise I won’t touch the chairs. 😉

Happy Birthday!! 🙂 The table looks so pretty….I’d love a how too especially since you used paint stripper! I’ve used that product before on an entirely different project, so I’d love more information.
Oh and I you already know I love the chairs as is….lol but coral is always fun! 🙂

I’m with Lakeitha, back away from the paint brush and leave the chairs as is! Besides it’s your birthday and you need to get out and do something fabulous!! Your table looks great btw!
Shavonda says

HAPPY BORTHDAY!!! Love the table! And really, with the table white and the walls navy(?), I would defiantly leave the chairs in their natural state:-)
Enjoy your day Hun!
Shavonda says
Hey sweets! Thank You. I think you’re right about the chairs. Since the table can seat 10 I think I’ll keep the bentwood chairs as is and maybe look for two accent chairs to bring in a bit of color on the ends.

Love, love, love it! What’d you do with the legs now? Did you change them?
Can’t wait to see the color of the chairs!
Shavonda says
Hey lady. Once I woke up the next morning I decided to go back to all white on the legs. I wasn’t really liking it. I thought it may have been a bit much since we were planning on going with a color on the chairs. My son was heartbroken though because he really liked them.
