Hi Everyone!!
Lets handle a little of business first, shall we? Congrats Cassie B.! You are the winner of the Custom Abstract Painting. Thank you so much to everyone who entered. There will definitely be another giveaway coming soon:)
When I first got my camera one of the things I really wanted to do was upgrade the standard neck strap it came with. I had seen some that I really liked and thought one in particular was really chic and cute.
Today I got the itch and decided to tackle a quick little DIY project to make one of my own.
Ok so its confession time loves….your girl over here is NOT crafty, like AT ALL. I’m creative, but not crafty. I can’t sew, can’t crochet, can barely knit, and have only used Modge Podge once! One the positive side, I can use a hot glue gun! That counts for something, right? I say all this to say, its a pretty rare occasion to see me post about projects that are particularly crafty.
This was a really easy project that even super novice crafters can feel confident about trying. Here’s how I did it.
I started with my materials
I already owned the gold chain necklace so I just removed the clasps from the ends. I’m pretty sure you can get chain from any craft store, though. Silver or even colored chain would be cool, too. You can use any kind of ribbon you want really. This was on sale at Michaels so its what I used. Velvet ribbon or even leather strips would be awesome as well.
Next start weaving your ribbon through your chain.
At this point you can continue weaving the ribbon through the entire chain, but I decided I wanted a bit of chain with no ribbon so I tied it off after 22 links and picked up again on the other side.

Oh my gosh that is so pretty! I need to actually learn how to take photos with my camera, but at least I could look chic trying. 😉

This is super cute! I want to make it. But the DSLR is more my husband’s than mine. Maybe this is the key to me taking it over! Mwah ha ha!
