Hi Everyone!
Every now and then I stumble upon a room or design moment that stops me in my tracks. A while back I came across a dining space I thought was seriously stunning and it recently popped back up on my radar.
This space is so so good yall. And it’s so so me. It’s a bit further on the elegant spectrum of my style, but I actually love dining rooms to be a tad glam, and even a smidge on the formal side. I feel like this space hits that sweet spot of “I can host a bomb ass dinner party in here”, ” Holiday dinners are sooo happening at our place”, and “Thursday night #aintnobodygottime to cook so its takeout and juice boxes.
I thought Id take a moment to point out 6 things I love about it in all its maximalist glory, and how a lot of the elements of this room can work in even the smallest of spaces.
1. Dark walls and Trim: Yall had to know this was gonna be up there for me, and you’ve already heard why I love using dark colors in small spaces.
2. Graphic Floor: The bold black and white floors are just what this spaced needed to balance out the dark walls. This element is such a great neutral and is a perfect option for a small space as well.
3. Statement lighting: Always, Always, Always statement lighting in a dining area….Just always
4. Burlwood: Because its burlwood, duh!
5. Emerald Chairs: I love the use of such a classic chair in here juxtaposed with the modern light and graphic patterned floor. And emerald is always a good idea…although my emerald hatin wife would beg to differ.
6. Ginger jar collection: Why stop at one? I love a ginger jar grouping and for me it’s always the more, the better. This space is so strong and only one or two would get lost.
I could honestly go on about this one. Its one of my favs. Until next time loves…

Love the ginger jars, the chairs, the whole thing! All of the elements flow together to make a lasting impressions. It’s quite beautiful.
Of course, I went back and read the Q&A with Naomi. Hi-larious! I love emerald green, but her responses had me howling!
Cheers,
Caryl

I ALMOST love everything about this but burlwood ain’t my thing. I’d prefer a classic antique wood dining table with some super pretty carved legs. But the lights! and floor! and ginger jars! give me all the ginger jars!!!

All the ginger jars!!! Ive learned that when it comes to burlwood you either love it or you don’t. Seems like there’s no in between:)
