Hi Everyone!
Happy Thursday friends. I’ve always loved natural hide rugs, and really love them incorporated into interior spaces. While they work wonderfully in spaces of any style, I really like seeing them in eclectic/boho spaces. They are perfect for adding a layer of texture (both visually and physically) to a space, and I’ve really wanted to add one to the mix in the bungalow for quite a while.
I’ve had a serious rug commitment issues in our living room. This room has now seen four different rug looks in less than a year, and I’m not the least bit ashamed. Nothing has felt right until now. I chose a silk screen zebra hide from Rugs USA , and I absolutely love it. THIS one will be sticking around. I went with the traditional black and white, but there’s a natural tone option with metallic stripes that’s fabulous too. I originally got it to go under the dining room table, but after living with it in there for over a month, we ultimately decided we prefer it layered in the living room.
This is the first hide I’ve owned, and I have to say I’ve been impressed with the ease of care and how durable it is. My kids and Callie, put EVERYTHING to the test, so if it’s of questionable quality we will know sooner than later. Its held up to spills, puppy stampedes, and high traffic extremely well.
I wish I woulda thought of this 3 rugs ago!! Until next time loves…

I have a cognac cow hide in my living room and I really feel they only get better with age. This one’s such a nice touch in your living room!

Oh YESSS I love it!! It works perfectly in your living room! Oh, I do love a good cowhide – I have a white one in my living room and a brown and white one in my dressing room. I would love a zebra hide like you’ve got but I’m running out of places to put them now! LOL! Perhaps the bedroom once we get rid of the god-awful carpeting in there 😉 They are SO easy to care for – we’ve had the white one for about 2 or 3 years and it still looks as good as the day it was put down (and I have 2 kitties and a man in the house with mucky shoes lol) xxx

Love it! Once I’m done paying hundreds a month in daycare, I’d love to focus more on decorating. Absolutely love the look of layered rugs, especially the two you have!!! Glad it’s standing up to the test, mine would have to also… two dogs, one at 100 lbs, and two kids test things out quickly!!

Girl daycare is the WORST. I don’t miss writing that check every month.
