Hi Everyone!
Happy Friday friends. I’m not sure whether it’s the warm weather, or the fact that I’ve been majorly fiending for a Mexican vacay, but Ive got serious heart eyes for the fun & festive Mexican paper flags lately.

I love seeing them splashed across blue skies, and used as whimsical wedding décor. Im thinking of adding some to our home for a dose of happy this summer. Perhaps across the mantle…
Happy Weekend loves. Until next time….

OMG I’ve totally been wanting these as well 😀 I did a Frida Kahlo themed photo shoot for my online shop (https://www.lilyandthelady.com/nl/blog/d/detail/ss15-frida) and last week we opened our pop up store with a modern Mexican theme and I tried to make some Papel Picado myself. I failed though, it looked a bit too crafty haha!

Oh my goodness, can I be your bestie?! You and I are loving the same things. Years ago, I would frequent a Mexican restaurant with my brother and I loved the paper flags. I’ve been looking for some, or someone who may know where to get them, for my art classroom. I already teach about the Day of the Dead (I’m slightly obsessed with sugar skulls!) and talked about Cinco de Mayo as well. I’m not Mexican but love their traditions. Plus, my art room is boring!! This would be so fun.
