#sghunts: Recent scores

Hi Everyone!

Happy #thriftscorethursday friends.  Im not hosting this go round, but I wanted to pop in and share a couple of my most recent finds anyway.  My luck hasn’t yet run out quite yet, so Ive enjoyed finding a few things Ive been looking for, and a couple I haven’t!

First up these fabulous emerald green velvet swivel chairs

Do I have a place for these beauties at the moment? Umm that would be a NO, but at $10 a piece there was no way in hell I could pass em up! This photo does them no justice guys.  They are GORGEOUS in real life.  The velvet is in amazing condition.  They just need a good professional cleaning and they’ll be good to go.  Im hanging on to these babies until we get the addition built.  They would be great in the master bedroom or in my studio.  Either way, they were well worth the investment.

Another fun find I stumbled upon was this great little vintage chair

As you know Ive been looking for one more chair for the living room and I was hoping to find one similar to this, but in the more classic cane back style.  When I came across this one I was immediately drawn to the unique side and back detail.  I also really love the low back, which will be great in our small space. Bonus points for the fact that its super comfy.  Im planning a fun makeover for it using the indigo mudcloth I picked up at the flea a while back. Ive been crushin on indigo, mudcloth, batik, and shibori upholstered pieces as of late so Id love to incorporate the look into the bungalow with this little guy.

Im still on the hunt for the elusive Chippendale chairs and now a dresser from my daughters teen bedroom makeover.  Im hoping for a campaign dresser, but anything with good lines and great hardware will do. Im also hoping to stumble upon some rattan chairs for the porch.  If youre part of my instafam you’ll definitely be the first to know.
