Hi Everyone!
Happy Friday friends. In honor of this weekend’s holiday I thought Id share a little DIY project with you guys. Recently I was invited to decorate our mantle for the Halloween edition of the Home Depot Style Challenge.
I absolutely love Halloween, but I don’t do much decorating for it because my son isn’t the biggest fan. He’s never been that kid that wants to dress up or trick or treat. In fact, this year is the first year he’s ever asked to go out. I’m betting he’ll get a couple of houses in and be over it! He doesn’t even like walking down the Halloween aisles in stores because the spooky offering creep him out. So, my approach to decorating was to be festive, but not so scary my kid is afraid to be in him own home. I basically stuck to candles, cob webs, spiders, and skulls centered around a DIY faux antique mirror I made for the mantle. Head over to the HD blog for the step by step on how to make your own. Its super easy to make and doesn’t require any chemicals.
Have a wonderful and safe Halloween everyone. I’ll be back on Monday for a bungalow kitchen update. A lot has happened in there since we last checked in. Until next time friends…
