Hi Everyone!
Happy Wednesday friends. Thank you all so much for all your love on my Glitter Guide feature yesterday friends. It was such a happy surprise to wake up to your emails, texts, and social media tags, especially since I didn’t know when it was going live and since Im on the west coast pretty much all of you saw it before I did! I love Glitter Guide, and follow their Style At Home series regularly so I was honored to be included.
This feature was one I was really hesitant to agree to, and honestly I almost said no thank you. When I was first approached about it I was really surprised because I didn’t think my home would fit in all that well. My style and aesthetic is one I wouldn’t readily associate with what is typically seen there, so I was nervous about it. On top of that, as you know, we are still pretty much in the beginning stages of pulling our home together. Literally every room is still is incomplete, the kitchen had holes in the walls, and I was just like “you wanna bring a camera where?! Uh-uh, no thanks!” At the end of the day I thought about the fact that this is genuinely what home looks like for me right now. Its unfinished, certainly rough around the edges, but more than anything its real. I thought it was important for me to celebrate that.
Not gonna lie though….I was freaked out about all the things I didn’t have and wouldn’t have time to get. Luckily my sweet friend Brittany (yeah, that Brittany! How lucky am I, right?) let me borrow some rugs to help make some of the rooms fell less empty. Thanks babe!
The full tour and interview is live here if you wanna check it out. Thank you so much again for all the love. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving friends.
Until next time…

Congratulations! I’m very happy for you. Your home looks beautiful. It looks like real people live there. It’s the kind of home you can drop by and visit and feel right at ease. Also that is one handsome young man!

Hi Darcel! Thank you so much! That is my constant goal….to have a home that looks and feels welcoming and comfortable to everyone. I definitely want that house that people want to come visit!

Yay!!! Congrats! I love your daughter’s room….it’s something I’d like my daughter’s room to look like but I’ve got to get her away from the blue walls (that I picked out years ago but now hate how bright they are). And of course, the rest of your home is as beautiful as always, even in the middle of construction and changing things around (which is always how I’ve lived, being the daughter of a carpenter).
