Hi Everyone!
Happy Tuesday friends. Thank you all so much for your input both here and on FB on our fencing plans. I love hearing your experiences and ideas. It really does help us make smart decisions. You guys are the best.
Today I’m here with another fun edition of Small Business Spotlight. I love discovering new small businesses to support and sharing them with you guys. This one is soooo up my alley and I’m thinking It’ll be right up most of yours too! Say hello to Close 5. You guys know there’s not much I love more than scoring fabulous pieces for our home via thrift scores, flea markets, Craigslist, etc. Some of my most treasured furniture finds have come from my man Craig and his fabulous List…. including our chesterfield sofa and Eames lounge.
And of course I can’t possibly forget my burlwood beauty of a coffee table scored via Offer Up.
So what the heck is Close5? Imagine if Craigslist, a garage sale, and your fav thrift store all hooked up and had a baby. Welllll, that may not have been the best analogy, but you get my drift! It’s a great source for buying and selling safely and locally, and I’m loving it.
The app itself is extremely user-friendly so it makes for a breezy experience for even the most tech illiterate folks, like myself. I’m not one to point any fingers, but there are still some apps I’ve yet to figure out how to use after more than a year of trying…ahem, im lookin at you Snapchat. *gives major side eye with a dash of #aintnobodygottimeforthat *. You can easily upload photos, list items, contact a seller, make an offer, direct message, and secure a sale all within a really easy interface.
I really love the buying and selling safety features of the app the most. There have been many a time I’ve felt a little uneasy about a transaction on CL, as I’m sure most of us have at one time or another. I think Close5 does a great job of making the process less stressful by streamlining and really encouraging all communication to happen through the app itself. Once you make an offer on an item and it is accepted by a seller the chat capabilities get unlocked and you can openly chat between buyer and seller to finalize a transaction. Chat works just like text messaging within the app so there’s no need give out your phone number, email, or any other personal information!
If you’re anything like me and you’re always looking for the next fab treasure, Close5 is definitely something to add to your list of “places I look to find amazing shit”. Its free and its available for download in both ITunes and Google Play….another good feature because I can’t tell you how many apps were iTunes only when I was a Galaxy user. *gives even more sideeye*. Give it a go and let me know what you think friends. I’m currently on the hunt for a few fun pieces for the house so I’m excited to see what I end up finding.
Until next time friends…

*this post is sponsored by Close5. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I have the app… and use it… and really enjoy it, and I think you will too. Happy hunting friends.

I get so sucked into these apps. I had to take a break and go back to thrift stores. But when the hiatus is over I’m trying this one!
