Hi Everyone!
So the other day I put the word out on IG stories on some recommendations for a replacement for our traditional coffee maker. Ive been looking for a different coffee making option for quite a while now and Ive finally decided to do something about it. I’m the only one who drinks coffee in our house (maybe 1 or 2 cups every couple weeks) so having a big traditional coffee maker is just a tad bit overkill. Aside from the fact that I don’t need a 12 cup coffee maker, the actual size of our current maker is much too large for our small kitchen. Right now Im making changes to try to maximize as much space in there as possible, and getting rid of our big bulky coffee maker is high on the list.
Initially I was considering a Keurig and then I thought about the costs associated with Kcups and realized its not something I want to do. Plus the size of a Keurig is still gonna be about the size of a traditional coffee maker on the counter. Eventually I decided on a french press and I asked for some recs on some good ones….boy did you guys deliver! I also had several folks suggest I consider a pour over system as well. I honestly may get both a french press and a pour over just because of their affordability, either can be easily stored, and both are great options for someone who only drinks coffee every once and a while.
Even though I want it to be easy to tuck away, Id still like the option to leave it out so aesthetics is pretty important to me as well. So I did some digging and rounded up a few great french press options at different price points..and they are all copper!! Because…duh!
I mean, talk about beauty and function!
So what are your thoughts? Are you an avid coffee drinker or more of an every now and then kinda person like me? Do you have a french press or a pour over? I haven’t committed to any particular one just yet so Id love any input you can offer.
Until next time friends…

Man, oh man, I wish I liked French press coffee, but it always tastes bitter/burnt to me. I love the look of French presses, and my traditional coffee maker takes up a ton of space. If anyone knows a trick to making French press coffee that tastes like a traditional medium breakfast roast, I’d love to know about it!

For sure do French Press. The ones you show are all beautiful. I have had one for years. Love making it in the afternoon for a ‘pick me up’ along with a sweet treat ? I alsi have an espresso machine that I use in the morning. Serious coffee drinker here. It’s really best to grind your own beans . If you have a grinder use a course grind. Or, you can also buy your beans and have your barista grind them for you ❤

Hi Margaret!! Ill definitely make the switch to grinding my own as well. Ive been told its the way to do it. Ive gained so much coffee wisdom over the past couple weeks. Learning so many things I didnt know before. Thank you so much!

As the only coffee drinker in my house, I switched to a French press years ago and haven’t looked back. I love the richness you get from the grounds steeping in the hot water, the foam, the oils…the French press really makes a formidable cup. I have a small one for myself and a larger one for when I have company. I drink coffee daily but we only have a Keurig at the office, so I savor the times I can make French press coffee at home.
