Hi Everyone!
Happy Monday friends. Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. Last week seemed to draaaag on and I was so ready for the weekend to arrive. Although technically the start of a new week, Sundays are my favorite. They are the day I engage in some much needed self-care, and that pretty much always includes a farmers market run for fresh flowers.
Like my plant babies, having fresh flowers in our home is essential. Im so happy to live in a city that has wonderful year round farmers markets with tons of florals brought in form local farms and growers. I love the hustle of the market and the hunt for the perfect bouquets and produce. Its my favorite weekly ritual.
Self care is something I talk ALOT about pretty much daily on my Instagram. I truly believe it is essential to our mental, physical, pscyhological, and emotional health. I think its especially important as a parent. We give so much of ourselves to everyone else on a daily basis. Our time, attention, hearts, ecouragement, energy, presence, love, and support. Its very easy for us to empty our tanks in service of others without even noticing it until we feel stressed and tapped out.
I typically take Sundays as my time to replenish myself. I clean and sage our home (more on that in an upcoming post), water my plant babies, light a wonderful candle, play my favorite music, and arrange my weekly flowers. Its become a ritual I look forward to. Its time I take for myself without guilt. There are so many ways to engage in self care. Some people take dedicated time out, like I do, while other exercise this on a daily basis. However you choose to do it, I hope you DO.
How do you engage in self care? Id love to hear about it.
Hope everyone has a fantastic week ahead!
Until next time friends….
