Hi Everyone!!
Happy V-Day! Im soooo not a Valentines day person. I may stand alone on this one, but I’m ok with that. If you do celebrate it, I hope its filled with all the love and joy imaginable.
I hope you all are having a good week. I caught whatever bug my daughter had last week and it took me out of commission for a few days, so I’ve been AOL from the blog for a bit. But, I’m back and feeling much better now.
It’s time for the second edition of my Treasure Hunting antics and I’m super excited! Last week was fun, but this week was a tad bit more special. This week my adventures led me to the Sacramento Antique Faire
I had no idea this even existed until last week. I discovered it actually occurs on the 2nd Sunday of EVERY MONTH!! Seriously! What rock have I been living under? When I found out it was coming up I contacted Katrina of Chic Little House to see if she wanted to go.
Meeting Katrina was like meeting my long lost sister I never knew existed. She was so warm and sweet and just fun to be around! We had an absolute blast shopping around and digging for goodies. Here are just a few of the things we saw as we strolled:
Katrina and I both were drawn to the selection of antique hardware. She’s in the middle of a renovation at the moment so they really appealed to her.
I thought this could make for a wonderful herb planter on a deck or back patio for kitchen picking.
This place was most definitely not lacking in the taxidermy department. Everywhere we turned we spotted something that once breathed.
These brass lamps screamed at me from across the way. I just had to pay them a little visit.
Hello beautiful vintage stove, how I wish you could come home with me.
I totally fell in love with these beautiful nesting tables. Just look at that bamboo detail.
This kelly green vanity caught my eye, too.
Is anyone really surprised that I would sneak in a snapshot of some books.

Speaking of things that almost made it’s way home with me. This vintage clock is definitely the one that got away. I passed on it and it has been on my mind ever since. It even sent a little minion to mock me by way of a locket I scoped out while taking my daughter to Claires
Maybe next time the vendor will be there again. If so I’m leaving with it for sure. Fingers crossed.

This picture is doing this jewel absolutely NO justice. Katrina and I both did a double take on this one. It was truly gorgeous and it was METAL. Too bad it was WAAAAAAAY over my budget.

More oldies but goodies.
So, are you wondering what I picked up on this little excursion?
The brass lamps totally climbed off the table by themselves, jumped on my back and demanded I take them with me. So I happily obliged. That’s my story and I’m stickin to it! I’m also pretty stoked about that authentic lambs wool rug I found for a steal. More vintage glass bottles to add my collection, some books, and a globe all came home with me too.
I love all my new additions to this colorful home of mine, but I have to say the most amazing treasure I discovered was a wonderful new friend and great new friendship.

Hi Shavonda, this flea market is amazing. We have nothing like that here. Maybe in Seattle, but that is 180 miles away. I love the little table with the wooden crate and the bike wheel. How creative is that? Then that vintage stove made my heart flutter, my daughter would love that. She just purchased an old 1930’s home and is slowly refurbishing it. The stove was perfect.
Well, I had a lovely visit . . . I need to visit more often.
