Hi Everyone!
Happy 2016 friends! Its the first Monday of the year and we’re off guys. 2015 was a good year. It was a year of firsts and a year of transformations. It was the first full year since our downsizing journey began, and our first full year in the bungalow. I figured we’d take a peek back over some of the happenings in our home and life this past year.
We still have a TON of work yet to do in our home, but we made some pretty good strides last year. Bit by bit we began making updates to our little old house. Starting with getting a new front door
As did the hallway
The living room started coming together with the help of some great (and thrifty!) furniture finds
And we got super close to the finish line on the kitchen renovation.
I also did some traveling last year as well. Naomi and I took our first real vacation together to Mexico
And my friends at LeGrand invited me out to Vermont for a behind the scenes look at some of the Adorne line.
And of course I cant forget our home feature in Glitter Guide to round out the year!
2015 was wonderful to us indeed. Im so so excited to see what adventures await in the year ahead. Until next time friends….

I’ve sent you several emails about the spring home tour. Could you please let me know if you’re in or out. I have a waiting list of ladies that would love to join in.

Hi Marty….Oh my! Im so sorry. Let me check my emails. I think I still get yours through my old address so I don’t frequent that one as much.

Congrats on the first year in the bungalow. I can’t wait to see what this year brings to you and your family. Have you thought of painting your bungalow? I can totally see a light to medium gray for the exterior, with bright white trim. And the thought of planting a cacti garden would be amazing, at least to me, since I can only have summer versions (which I did once, loved it, then killed all plants over the winter). I thought of you the other day when I mentioned Mexico to my aunt, to tell my cousin who just got married. They are looking for places to take a honeymoon and I can’t get your Mexico trip out of my mind… Maybe I just need a good vacation!

Thank you so much sweet Megan. We’ve planned on painting our house since the moment we got the keys! Its actually one of the things on our 2016 home goals list. We wanted to tackle a few projects inside that were higher priority first. Plus, we wanted to wait to paint the house until we tackled the addition so it could all be done at once. I cant recommend Sayulita enough. We absolutely loved it. And yes…please make vacationing a priority this year friend. Happy New Year!
