Design Obsession: Gimme All The Purple

Hi Everyone!

Happy Wednesday friends! You guys. I cant even tell you how excited I am to be back today! At the time I drafted this post to go live my laptop’s motherboard took a nosedive to death town. Thankfully I had an extended warranty with geek squad so I was able to get it fixed.  It wasn’t supposed to be back until early April, so to have it back already has me like yaaassssss!

So Domino recently posted an article about how lavendar is having its moment in the interior design and decor space right now and I was asked to offer up my ideas on ways I like to use the seasons trendiest color in the home.  For those of you who don’t know, purple is my favorite color….well mine and Noami’s, actually, so I was pumped to get to share my thoughts alongside some of my favorite designers and bloggers.

Since I can’t ever get enough of it, I thought I’d come on today to share just a bit more love for the color of royalty.  This is a tricky color that most people tend to steer clear of.  It can be very intimidating to try to figure out how to use it without it looking either super gaudy or too precious. While I prefer the deeper moody plum and eggplant tones, Naomi likes her  lavendars and lilacs. Either way I’m all the way here for using this color in the home in bold ways. This is a tricky color that most people tend to steer clear of, but when done right its soooooo good.
