Hi Everyone!
Hey loves. We are getting down to the wire aren’t we? Only 5 days til Christmas:) EEEK!
I’m sure you’ve noticed things have been pretty quiet around here. I haven’t necessarily taken a break, but I have decided to really, really relish in the holiday season. The kids are out of school, we are entertaining lots of friends, and we are taking much more time to just enjoy our time together. The posts will still be coming, just not as frequently until after the new year. I hope you guys don’t mind:)
A little over a week ago I took part in the Blogger Styling Home Tours and showed you guys the beginnings of our holiday decorating. Traditionally we don’t really start decking our halls until about a week before Christmas so I’m back today to share a few changes and some additions tour holiday decor.
At the time of our tour we didn’t have our family tree up yet. This week we got it up and decorated and have been really enjoying it.
Every year since I was a small girl we’ve had a live tree and that tradition has carried on into my own family. The kids love going to the tree farm to pick it out. This year they wanted a “big fat” tree and I think they did a pretty good job of picking one! This year my daughter decided she wanted our tree to “look like a rainbow” so we combined some of our favorite ornaments with standard colorful ones to create a semi-ombre affect.
This little guy came as a set with a larger one which now sits by the fireplace. I also added some festive art to the mix.
and the popcorn garland has a new home too!

I love the backsplash in your kitchen! Do you by any chance remember where you got it or what it was called?

Hi Jamie! We got our backsplash from Costco actually. I dont remember the name of the tiles of hand, but when we installed it I put the info in the post. You can search for the backsplash installation in the sidebar and youll be able to find it. Thanks sweets:)
