Hi Everyone!!
Happy Monday loves! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Let me start off by saying a huge Thank You and showing gratitude for any of you who are veterans. Aside from design, I’m most passionate about our military service members. For those of you who don’t know, I am veteran. I served for 6 years in the Air Force and am extremely proud of my service to our great nation. I come from a long line of military service men and women, including my mother, father, sister, and brother. I guess you can say its in my blood! If you yourself are a veteran or have a spouse, parent, sibling, or family member who has served or is currently serving I salute you. Thank you so much for your sacrifice.
Ok guys, umm tomorrow’s the big day! I have a feeling I won’t get an ounce of sleep tonight! Thank goodness for concealer. I spent the last few days getting the house in tip top shape and both finishing up and starting some last minute projects. If you follow me on Instagram you know I tackled of my biggest DIY projects yet these past couple of days: painting and stenciling the kitchen floors. I know, I know, crazy right. Not because I painted and stenciled the floor, but because I waited until a week before Better Homes and Gardens came to my house to decide to take on a project that big!#craycray No worries though, I got the green light to move forward with it before I started to make sure I wasn’t going to interfere with their plans. It was the most emotionally draining project I’ve yet to take on and I cant wait to share the good, bad and ugly of it all with you guys. Look for that post to come later in the week. For now here’s a little sneak peek
What did you all do this weekend? Until next time….

1) Thank you SO much for your service to our Country; 2) You’re so brave!!! But, inspiring, too. I’m about to stencil one of our bedroom floors and it’s great to read successful stories; 3) Can’t wait to see the BHG spread. To quote my late Grandmother, “Girl, you can saddle a galloping pony!” — Jan
